The Toy Box Team Building Game "RAT TRAP"
Inspired by the hit games ‘Mouse Trap’ and ‘Meccano’,
RatTrap asks the participants to construct a variety of models
using large wooden components. Once aligned, the models are
placed in the correct order to trigger the trap and catch
the rat. This is a fun, exciting and flexible teambuilding
game that encourages strong teamwork and communication that
produces a visually rewarding and entertaining finale.
How the game works
The objective is for teams to create a chain reaction
of events that will trigger the RatTrap to catch the
rat.
• The group is split into teams.
• The teams are allocated a timespan in which they have to complete the
tasks.
• Each team is allocated a work area or table.
In each area or on each table the teams will find the
component parts that they require to construct their
model, which forms part of the RatTrap sequence.
• A basic design brief will give the teams pointers on how to build their
model correctly..
• The teams have an opportunity to practice with their built models to
ensure they are assembled correctly and can perform the function they are designed
for.
Communication between the teams starts to escalate as
they discover the correct order of the models required
to trigger the trap.
The finale is then started as the models create a spectacular chain reaction
of events that, if correct, will catch the rat.
Everything in the game has an effect on something else.
When all the components are in the correct place and working
together, great results are achievable.
Rat Trap is a fun and different teambuilding event that
engages the participants from the start and delivers a message
in an exciting and unusual way. This teambuilding game can
be used as a breakout session or as a standalone event.
