A FUN Teambuilding Event
for up to 400 Participants.
"Chequered Flag"
Chequered Flag is a great fun team building event, fast
paced and with an exciting finale. From the start, each team
is
encouraged to communicate, work together and tap into their
artistic flair by having to dress a pedal go-kart to look
like something else. The event ends with the teams racing against
each other in their various classes. The winners from each
class race
each other in the grand finale.
Fun Team Building with "A role for everyone".
Whether a designer, builder, driver, decorator, negotiator
or haggler for sponsorship, there is something for everyone.
The fun event focuses on trust, teamwork and communication
and is carried out in an environment of fun, laughter and
excitement
as the karts take to the track.
Duration: 1 ½ - 3 hours
Location: Outdoors and indoors (dependent on space parameters)
Number of participants: 12-400
The goal of each team is to design and build a specified
class of vehicle and then compete in ludicrously fun and
exciting races. Initially, the participants are split into
groups of teams. (E.g. 80 participants split into 2 groups
of 4 teams.) Each team is allocated space in which to work,
the chassis of a pedal go-kart, some basic construction materials
and a brief describing the class of vehicle
they have to design and build. (Example: a train, boat, house or animal). Each
team will be given specific design criteria they must incorporate
in to
their build, according their class of vehicle. They also have to build a towable
trailer, which is capable of transporting empty boxes around
the racecourse in the
final races. The teams can buy the additional
building materials they require from the trackside shop using ‘Fun Money’.
‘Fun Money’ can be earned during the game in various ways such as
successful sponsorship deals.
Each race is in a relay race format. With each lap completed the team must
swap drivers and add another box to the trailer. As the load grows so does
the excitement
and chaos as the trailers become more unbalanced.
Time penalties are issued for misconduct on the track during racing.
During the races the teams are cheering each other on (or not!) which creates
an electric atmosphere.
The rules to the races can be set according to the client’s needs. This
adds further excitement as strict marshalling could result in teams being penalised.
There are additional tasks to add to this event such as the ‘Skill Driving
Challenge’, ‘Design Show’ and the ‘Sponsorship Challenge’.
