Corporate Drumming Events

Everyone can make music – confidence
is built by breaking down the barrier “I haven’t
got any rhythm”. Corporate drumming is creative, confidence
building and ultimately triumphant.
A world of drumming at your fingertips
Drumming provides an unusual and stimulating
experiential learning opportunity for all participants. The
playing process itself is both enjoyable and demanding, while
the outcome produces a shared feeling of confidence and satisfaction.
Drumming bridges the gap between work and play
WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOUR COMPANY
You can choose a style from any of the corporate drumming
and percussion workshops styles listed below.. Each workshop
can last from 1 to two hours, or be a whole day with a performance
built in at the end. Alternatively, if you have a large group
of participants, we can bring all four styles to your event
or conference and rotate 4 groups through each style. At
the end of the day, a triumphant end finale can take place
with all participants performing with each other.

WEST AFRICAN DRUMMING:
By far the most popular and easy to learn form
of hand drumming, West African rhythms can be learnt easily
through our expert facilitators. We will provide everyone
with a Djembe drum and take the participants through a body
rhythm workshop, leading in to a traditional composition
involving multiple parts. Everyone will be able to play an
instrument. The end result is a powerful sound and highly
stimulating experience
BRAZILIAN SAMBA DRUMMING:
From the street carnivals of Rio, Samba drumming
envelopes all your senses and the Samba orchestra comprises
of participants learning a multitude of different instrument
from small agogo bells to huge Surdo drums. This drumming
is for marching and the combined rhythmic patterns are easy
to learn. Once the rhythms are learnt, everyone will gain
a great sense of achievement and be swept up by the exotic
sounds of Latin America
BODY PERCUSSION:
This unique and extremely entertaining form
of interaction is designed to stimulate mental and physical
faculties simultaneously. Known to some as "handbone" the
principles of this creative art can be traced back to Victorian
playgrounds as well as contemporary Bronx style street dance.
The collective process of building a musical arrangement
and visual display using only our bodies as instuments is
as challenging as it is enjoyable. Led by "HOT ASHES",
Vickey Jassey and Jon Halls, draw upon elements of their
percussive theatre co to demonstrate that group cohesion
is not just advantageous but biologically driven.
